PE Energy Limited has excellently completed the Modification of HIPPS Logic project for SPDC (Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria). The engineers worked on and completed the project within eight working days at the SPDC Kolo 2 Soku Gas Facility, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
The project involved modification of High-Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) to trip in Emergency Shut Down Valves (ESD). PE Energy Limited engineers were tasked with the addition of two new signals to the tree HIPPS Systems including the logic to implement: One signal to trip each set of associated HIPPS valves on ESD; One ESD permissive signal to reset the associated HIPPS valves; and implement Watchdog for OPC signal on the ProSafe-Com.
